This album has gone multi platinum, and is my #1 favorite Metallica album with this masterpiece they went in a different direction and as a result lost alot of their fans but this album if anything gave me a better appreciation of this band. In my opinion theyve not even come close to this album, No fillers, I give this album a 10

Having loved Load I thought this would be a awesome album, but this collection of Bsides and Unreleased tracks from the Load sessions was a serious disappointment, Theres a reason why this material was not on load. I gave this a half the lowest mark ive ever given an album

Old material and covers, some decent covers on the first disc, I think if this just had the first disc I would have given it a higher rating, with the exception of their Queen cover I think that the 2nd disc is total crap. Sorry if it offends but thats my opinion and my site so live with it

I gotta give Metallica credit for this one, they took some old material and some classic material and put a completely new spin on it. I give them a 6/10 just for that, Its cool to see a band explore different avenues in music instead of confining themselves to one box or one style, If one thing can be said about Metallica is they are musical explorers

Review/Comments/Thoughts:
This album was made during a low point for the band, longtime Bassist Jason Newstead left to pursue other interests, relations in the band were at an all time low, It definitly shows in the music, Some good tracks on this album but most hardcore fans hate this album. Im not a hardcore fan I dont hate it, Its not their best but its also not their worst. It took watching Some Kind of Monster the documentry for me to appreciate this album, some stuff that were not on the album but on the documentry to me was awesome. Favorites include Invisible Kid, Some Kind of Monster, Frantic, Sweet Amber
