The first album with vocalist John Schlitt, also the first album with producers John and Dino Elefante, This album is a break from the sound that Petra fans had grown accustomed to. Petra took a more of a hard rock edge. All in all its not my favorite Petra album but there were some good songs on it. My first real exposure to the John Schlitt era of Petra was their album "This Means War", however my 2nd favorite would be "On Fire" which I used to own on cassette but have never bought on CD. Favorites from Back to the Street include Back to the Street, Shakin the House, Whole World, Fool's Gold Its a gem

This was my favorite John Schlitt era Petra album I remember when I first got a copy that I played it to death, to the point that a portion of Kenneniah got recorded over (yes it was a dubbed tape) and I lost part of my favorite song. Ahhh the days of childhood and teenager years. I ended up getting this on CD, I still like this album 23 years later.

This album was a return to the early Schlitt era of Petra, the songs on this album are strongly reminiscant of Back to the Street and On Fire A return to their hard rock edge sound. It has been some time since i've given this CD a listen, I will have to give it a spin so that i can fully update this section
